Another

And let’s have another coffee.
Let’s have another piece of pie.
And when we’re done won’t nobody
notice (like you and I) the sky

black between the stars or the way
the snowflakes sink into our world
and then sway, fallen specks arrayed
on city sidewalks, which unfurl

ahead of us like memories
we already see (you and I).
So let’s have a cup of coffee.
Let’s order up a piece of pie.
