I used to live for words,
\nthe sounds they made
\nwhen strung together,
\nthe epic tales they told,
\nthe deep emotions they evoked.
\nBut with the passage of time,
\nI find I want to speak less,
\nbreathe more,
\nand just be.
\nI want to use fewer words
\nto speak larger truths,
\ndistill the essence
\nof my awareness
\ninto a bottle
\nlike a love potion,
\nto be passed on to others,
\nfrom one mouth to another,
\ntill we\u2019re all entranced and intoxicated,
\nleft speechless by Your magical presence.
\nI used to live for words,
\nbut now I\u2019m the one who
\nbreathes life into language
\nand must speak from the soul,
\nhoping each word builds a bridge
