Not that midnight is so very dark
\nin my dimly lighted sleepless room,
\nwhite sheets on my bed
\neven whiter than what\u2019s so thoroughly painted
\naround me;<\/p>\n
not that darkness is so bleak or fearsome,
\nfull of bad dreams that need an ending
\nor even the pain one suffers alone;<\/p>\n
no, none of these realities
\ndescribe one\u2019s ailing self
\nbefore the unseen impalpable strength
\ninside one\u2019s soul and everywhere within,
\nwhere blackness is a promise of gentle rest,
